According to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a Swedish administrative court has rejected an appeal filed by Google confirmed in a right to be forgotten legal case. The court confirmed that Google violated the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as it did not properly exercise consumers' right to be forgotten as laid out in the GDPR. It also decided that the initial fine of SEK 75 million was too high, and ordered the penalty to be reduced to SEK 52 million.
