Scientists at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, have developed a novel method of using orange peels to extract and reuse precious metals from discarded lithium-ion batteries in order to create new batteries. The development is part of the university's waste-to-resource approach that tackles food waste and e-waste with the aim of supporting the circular economy.
