Rovio Entertainment , the developers of popular video game Angry Bird have been sued by the Attorney General of New Mexico over violation of privacy of children. The suit has been filed by Hector Balderas in a federal district court and has alleged Rovio Entertainment, of collecting and selling the personal data of children aged below thirteen years and "monetizing children by surreptitiously exfiltrating" their personal data . Rovio is also accused of "aggressively" targeting children below the thirteen using a range of tie-in merchandise and media, as well as the sale of physical and virtual products related to the games. All this is also in violation of COPPA.
