The photo- and video-sharing app Snapchat has been sued by a 14-year-old boy and his mother over the exposure of sexually explicit content to minors. The court filing states that 'Snapchat is currently engaged in an insidious pattern and practice of intentionally exposing minors to harmful, offensive, prurient, and sexually offensive content, without warning minors or their parents that they would be exposed to such explicit content.' According to the plaintiffs, the company violates the Communication Decency Act, which regulates pornographic material on the Internet in the US.
