New European Online Dispute Resolution Platform launched

The European Commission has launched the new Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform, which will help consumers and traders settle their online disputes through dispute resolution rather than through court proceedings. The platform is currently open to ADR bodies to familiarise themselves with it, and will become operational as of 15 February. The platform was set up through Regulation (EU) No 524/201 on online dispute resolution for consumer disputes.
