UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) published a report titled 'The Disaster Riskscape Across Asia-Pacific' to raise awareness related to the numerous natural hazards and disasters countries in the region face. The report provides empirical evidence of how these disasters impact health, employment, and education of the countries' populations, and calls on developed countries to increase the scale of their investments aimed at providing resources and building capacity to address pressing challenges.
