Former US presidential candidate, lawyer, and entrepreneur Andrew Yang launched Humanity Forward, a non-profit organisation focused on the impact of technology on labour and inequality. The first measure of Humanity Forward was to give over US$500 000 to a city in the state of New York to check the viability of a universal basic income programme. The organisation aims at bringing the attention of voters to the effects of the fourth industrial revolution; and highlight American workers will not be replaced by immigrants but by new technologies.
