The European Union is planning to unveil a digital wallet that will enable its citizens to easily tap services in the post COVID era. The wallet will enable people to store passwords, log into government services and make payments for services. Some EU officials describe the wallet as a 'digital twin' or personal vault where data such as driving licences can be stored and accessed when need be, using biometric identification. Methods of EU officials however plan to make the data unavailable for use by digital marketers.
