The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has announced the creation of the Ransomware Vulnerability Warning Pilot (RVWP), a pilot program to provide organisations with warnings about vulnerabilities that could potentially lead to ransomware attacks. The pilot program will focus on ransomware threats that exploit known vulnerabilities in IT systems. It will provide targeted alerts to specific organisations at risk through alerts, including information on the identified vulnerabilities and recommendations for mitigating the risk of a ransomware attack.
