The Royal Government of Cambodia issued Child Protection Online Guidelines for the Digital Technology Industry with the aid of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children and UNICEF Cambodia. The guidelines aim to improve children's internet safety by tackling sexual exploitation and abuse, providing safeguards, restricting inappropriate content, and ensuring data confidentiality. These proposals aim to provide digital technology sector members, social media platforms, and internet service providers, among others, with choices for improving online safety for children and young people.
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans Affairs, and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVI), the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MOS), the Ministry of Women's Affairs (MOW), the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (including the National Police and the Cybercrime Unit) collaborated closely in developing these guidelines.
