Following a fierce community backlash Apple over the announcement last month of launching CSAM scanning features in iOS15, the company has now announced to put this feature on hold. In a press release Apple shared that this decision was taken based on feedback from customers, advocacy groups, researchers and others.
It may be mentioned that an open letter was sent to Apple CEO by 90 organisations from across the world urging the company to not roll out these new features.
