The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), together with the UN-Habitat and a Swiss air quality technology company IQAir launched the world's largest air quality data platform. The platform known as 'Urban Air Action Platform' gathers real-time air pollution data from 4,000 sources such as government actors, the private sector and citizens and reaches over 15 million users covering around 7,000 cities around the globe. The objective of the platform is to contribute towards sustainable cities.
