Due to the high risk posed by improper management of e-waste in Nigeria, experts called for an action to arrest the dumping of electronic products in the country.
According to the E-waste Relief Foundation, not only does the improper e-waste management cause loss of billions of naira in revenue, but it also led to an increase in cancer rates in the country. To that end, Dr. Ifeanyi Ochonogor, President of the Foundation, called on the e-waste management experts to raise awareness and educate the informal sector.
