The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a US telecommunications regulator, proposes to create a new space bureau to manage the growing satellite industry. According to the FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel: 'The satellite industry is growing at a record pace, but here on the ground our regulatory frameworks for licensing them have not kept up'. The new FCC space bureau will help to speed up the satellite licensing process and elevate the significance of satellite programs to match the level of space ambitions.
