A US mortgage broker has agreed to pay$120,000 to end a Federal Trade Commission lawsuit alleging the company had breached federal financial privacy rules. The company had posted personal details about consumers in response to negative reviews on Yelp, information such as consumers' income sources, credit history, taxes, health, and family relationships. According to Bloomberg, the company must implement, under the proposed settlement, a comprehensive data security program and designate a senior officer to certify compliance with the order.
