The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved six funding applications for the COVID-19 telehealth programme, according to a statement. A total of USD$3.23 million was awarded to the selected healthcare providers to fund the provision of telehealth services during the COVID-19 public health emergency. Applications for the funding programme were opened on April 13 and the FCC continues to evaluate applications and will distribute additional funding on a rolling basis. The healthcare providers that were awarded funding include, among others, the Grady Memorial Hospital (Georgia) and Hudson River HealthCare (New York).
