Turkey will track its citizens via mobile phones to ensure that those who tested positive for COVID-19 do not break quarantine, according to a report. The Communications Directorate of the presidency explained that those diagnosed with COVID-19 will receive a message or a call from the authorities every time they leave their homes. It highlighted that the Turkish law approves the processing of personal data without consent for 'exceptional aims'. In response to the privacy concerns, the directorate officials said that the government will ensure that the collected personal data will not be used for any other purposes.
