TikTok on Friday suffered a brief outage that began at around 1 PM ET. The outage caused users to experience buffering, internet connectivity issues and profile errors. After about an hour, the TikTok app was working again.
At the peak of the outage, a third-party service-monitoring website reported that there were problems at TikTok with server connections, the app and user profiles, and over 92,000 reports of problems. As of 2:30 PM ET, that number had subsided to 2,000 reports.
During the outage, users everywhere took to Twitter to react to the TikTok outage and question what to do with their time without their favorite procrastination tool.
