The state government of Victoria, Australia,announced its plans to give Bosch a grant of$2.3 million to test self-driving vehicles on high-speed rural roads. This is the first time these cars are allowed in the state after legislation permitting such trials was approved last year. The tests will analyse how the vehicles function under various weather and traffic conditions in order to improve rural road safety.
