According to a report, Spain became the latest country to start using the EU Digital COVID Certificate system. Spanish airports are equipped to scan the certificates and allow certificate holders to enter the country without quarantine or presenting a negative COVID-19 test. The certificate is available in either digital format or on paper, shows a QR code that will be scanned to verify that the bearer has been vaccinated against COVID-19, has a negative COVID-19 test, or has had COVID-19 over the last six months. On 7 June, the regional governments of Andalusia, Valencia, and Navarre announced that their residents are already able to download the certificates. In Andalusia, those over 65 years old will receive a physical copy delivered to their homes.
