Several recent cases of trojans adapted for specific banks in Bulgaria and Romania add to concerns that cybercriminals are targeting SEE countries more and more, the CSO portal reports. Specifically, a trojan Gozi/ISFB penetrated into several Bulgarian banks, after being registered in the US, UK, Africa and the Middle East, while another trojan called Tinba v3 was adapted to Romanian financial environment. While all of the SEE countries have signed the Council of Europe Cybercrime Convention and several have formally established the CERTs, the strategic and effective cooperative responses to cyber-threats are still somewhat missing.
