Snap, the owner of Snapchat has filed a lawsuit against the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for denial to register trademark 'spectacles' of its wearable smart glasses. The lawsuit comes after the USPTO's Trial and Appeal Board denied the trademark application stating that 'spectacles' is a generic word and can not be subject to trademark.
