Dutch privacy group, the Privacy Collective, supported by various interest groups, has filed an official class action suit against Salesforce and Oracle, for misusing the personal data of millions of Dutch people. The collective launched a lawsuit in line with a new Dutch legislation, allowing to start class action lawsuits without having to recruit members to pay for the court proceedings beforehand. The claim focuses on the collection, bundling, enrichment, and sale of digital profiles of Dutch Internet users without their consent. According to Euronews, the Dutch case is the biggest class action ever in the Netherlands for a GDPR violation.
