According to a news report, the government of Nigeria's Katsina State has lifted the ban on mobile telecommunication services that was imposed in the state. The government imposed a ban three months ago as part of measures to curb insecurity in the state. According to the report, the Special Advisor to the State Governor on security matters, Mr Ibrahim Katsina, informed the media that the decision to lift the ban was informed by the relative peace being witnessed within the State.
