According to ZDNet, 56% of companies in the technology sector in Brazil are not compliant with the newly introduced national data protection regulation (LGPD). The findings are from a survey that covered 2050 companies by the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) in partnership with EY. According to the survey, 70.3% of the technology companies surveyed collect confidential data and 30.9% have already suffered an incident relating to data protection in the last two years.
