Microsoft released its 2020 Environmental Sustainability Report, which focuses on four areas: carbon, water, waste, and ecosystems. Following Microsoft's announcement to be water positive by 2030, the report details Microsoft projects and partnerships in the field. The report also highlights Microsoft future plans: (a) sourcing replenishment projects; (b) enabling drinking water and/or sanitation access for 140,000 people by the end of 2021; (c) creating new tools; (d) improving the usefulness of water consumption data; and (e) identifying technology adoption opportunities for emerging water technologies.
