According to Reuters, global hotel chain Marriott International is facing a class action in London brought by millions of former guests after their personal records were hacked between 2014 and 2018. The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages for loss of control of personal data, automatically includes all the guests who made a reservation to the concerned hotels before 10 September 2018. Around seven million British guest records were compromised by the hack, according to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
