MainOne, a broadband service and infrastructure company providing connectivity and network solutions across West Africa, won an international bid to provide bulk connectivity services to a consortium of operators through the PAV-Burkina Cooperative for the next three years. The project is funded by the World Bank in co-operation with the Burkinese government to develop solutions for the landlocked country's connectivity challenges. This includes the lack of infrastructure and the reluctance of major operators to explore operational broadband service delivery models favorable for the socio-economic development of the country.
