The Drinking-Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act of 2021 passed in the Senate. According to the act,$25 million will be provided for each fiscal year from 2022 through 2026 in grants through a clean water infrastructure resiliency and sustainability program to allow entities to use the money to address water cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The act also promises funds of$10 million for advanced drinking water technology. Entities eligible for that program should identify or expressed interest in identifying opportunities to employ new or emerging water technologies, including technology that could address cybersecurity issues.
