US department of Justice issued a statement that the largest child pornographic website operating in the darknet was taken down in an internationally coordinated operation. IRS-CI Chief Don Fort shared that IRS-CI agents were able to determine the location of the darknet servers and ultimately the website and the physical location in South Korea, by tracing of bitcoin transactions. The data seized from the server helped law enforcement around the world to identify and arrest 337 individuals from 38 countries and rescue at least 23 minor victims, who were being actively abused by the users of the site.
