Lanzarote Committee adopts declaration on child sexual abuse material

The Lanzarote Committee, which monitors the implementation of the Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, has adopted a declaration on web addresses advertising or promoting child sexual abuse material or images (CSAM/I) or any other offences established in accordance with the convention. The declaration urges parties and competent authorities to take the decessary measures to identify any web addresses which self-evidently advertise or promote CSAM/I or any other offences establised in accordance with the Lanzarote Convention, and to take the necessary measures to remove such web addresses and ensure that no new such addresses are registered.
