How to use Gemini's Deep Research to browse the web faster and better

Feb, 24, 2025 Hi-network.com
How Gemini's Deep Research can browse the web better and faster than you

Need to research a topic via the internet but don't want to spend hours online? Google Gemini's Deep Research can tackle that task for you. Accessible on the web, Android, and iOS, Deep Research acts as a virtual agent that performs online research on your behalf.

Simply submit a request about your topic, and the AI generates a research plan. Once you approve the plan, Deep Research searches the web for relevant information and generates a detailed report for your review.

With Deep Research, Gemini is also capable of multitasking. That means you can start a new request while one is already running. Google limits how many requests you can run simultaneously, as well as the number you can submit per day. But you'll be alerted if you're about to hit your quota.

Gemini and Deep Research operate the same on the website and in the mobile apps. Let's check out your options to see how this works.

How to use Deep Research via the Gemini website

What you'll need: To use Deep Research, you'll need the$20-per-month Gemini Advanced subscription, which is part of the Google One AI Premium plan. If you aren't already a subscriber, head to the Gemini web page, click the button for Gemini Advanced, and then start your subscription. You'll also enjoy a free one-month trial before Google starts charging you.

1. Browse to the Google Gemini website

Head to the Gemini website with your favorite browser. Click the Gemini Advanced header to see all the different models available. For Deep Research, select the model for 1.5 Pro with Deep Research.

4. Wait for the report

Depending on the complexity of the topic and the number of websites consulted, you'll likely have to wait at least several minutes for the AI to conduct its research. During that time, you can open other pages in your browser or launch other apps on your PC. You'll be alerted when the report is ready.
