Facebook has removed a 9000 member anti-mask group for violating its policies against spreading misinformation. The group, just as many others on the platform defies public health interventions led by medical experts, spreading false claims about the impacts of the use of masks. Since the beginning of the pandemic Facebook has struggled to deal with the COVID-19 disinformation on the platform. According to a recent report, they have removed more than 2.5 million pieces of content identified as COVID-19 disinformation.
