EU telecom regulatory body criticised over its proposed approach to zero-rating services

In aletter sent to the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC), a group of individuals and think-thanks criticize certain aspect in the BEREC proposed network neutrality guidelines. Worried that the body seeks to ban zero-rating and other specialized services, the signatories of the letter argue that such practices can benefit consumers and competition. They ask BEREC to follow a 'permissive, case-by-case approach informed by economic analysis, allowing for experimentation with beneficial forms of pricing or traffic differentiation'
