EU Directive on consumer Alternative Dispute Resolution comes into force

The EU Directive on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for Consumer Disputes has now come into force (in stages since 7 April). New information requirements are in place for businesses, including that of providing customers with details of a certified alternative dispute resolution body. Meanwhile, the Regulation on Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) for Consumer Disputes will come into force on 9 January 2016.
