The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Special Committee Emergency Communications (EMTEL) released a report -ETSI TR 103 582that deals with Internet of things (IoT) devices during emergency situations. The report details possible cases that illustrate how IoT communications can provide useful information during emergencies and includes recommendations about potential standardisation requirements that can enable the safe operation of IoT communications.
