Continuing his series of warnings about the dangers of artificial intelligence (AI), Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that AI could lead to the third world war. Few days afterRussian President Vladimir Putin warned about the risks of global monopolies in AI, Musk said that 'competition for AI superiority at national level' will most likely lead to the third world war. Musk's concerns are related to both the possibility of world leaders starting the war, but also of an overcautious AI system that could decide 'that a [preemptive] strike is [the] most probable path to victory.
