Egypt and Lebanon became two of the latest countries to launch online registration systems for COVID-19 vaccines. Egypt's Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed said during a weekly cabinet meeting that the vaccines will be provided through the electronic registration system, which aims to increase confidence between the state and its citizens through more effective distribution. The registration has not yet started.
Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health has launched the online registration platform, accepting registration not only of Lebanese citizens, but also of Palestinian and Syrian refugees. Lebanon and Egypt are set to begin their respective vaccination drives in February 2021.
