A startup company, Emortal, is reported to launch the digital legacy preserving platform in the UK and USA in late this year. The project has received backing from the internet evangelist Vint Cerf. Emortal will use Google architecture to indefinitely preserve digital memories, such as photographs, documents, correspondence, and videos. The platform will ensure that a user's entire digital legacy will remain safe, secure, and accessible to only those they choose as operating systems, devices, and technology evolve.
