As the world continues to strategise on fighting coronavirus, device manufacturers are offering thermal detection devices with facial recognition capabilities. The British company Silent Sentinel announced a new line of fever detection cameras that can be integrated with facial recognition to not only sense a person with high fever but also identify them. The Internet of Things (IoT) manufacturer Polysense Technology has also launched smart coronavirus thermal scanners that integrate with facial recognition. Both products are targeted at private entities such as buildings, schools, hospitals and taxis.
