Australian insurance company Medibank was hit by a cyberattack that targeted customers' personal information. Following the investigation by the federal police and cybersecurity experts, the company confirmed that 200 GB of data was stolen. Cybercriminals shared a sample of data verification of 100 policies that were stolen, including names, addresses, dates of birth, Medicare numbers, and medical claims data. The data is believed to have come from the company's insurance products called 'ahm' and international student systems, which were taken down after the attack.
