The Ivorian government signed a MoU with telecom operator Huawei to strengthen the ICT industry in the country. Through this partnership, Huawei will support the design of C?te d'Ivoire's digital economy strategy 'Digital C?te d'Ivoire 2030'. Huawei will further contribute by identifying a broadband development strategy, conducting a study for the setup of a normative framework for access to very high-speed broadband in the information society, and promoting accessibility for people with disabilities for the inclusive development of the digital economy. Huawei's Vice President for West Africa, Li Yungao, hoped that the MoU will translate 'into a strong political will and concrete actions on the ground for a digitalised C?te d'Ivoire by 2030'.
