EducationSuperHighway.org, which is a non-profit organisation that was commissioned in 2012 to address the digital divide in America's K-12 classrooms, released a new report on education technology: 2019 State of the States that revealed that the digital divide is closed. According to the report, 99% of school districts have high-speed broadband connections that supports enough bandwidth for teachers and students to use digital technology effectively in classrooms leaving only 750K students unconnected. This means that 46.3 million students are now connected and 2.8 million teachers working in 83,000 schools have the required Internet access for digital learning. The report provides more details to the progress of different states.
