Days before the start of COP27, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other government departments of China published a new action plan to build a 'green technology innovation system' by 2025. Using tax incentives and research support, the plan will address complex environmental challenges faced by the country and will help to meet its climate targets through the development of innovative green technologies. The plan will use big data, biotech, and artificial intelligence to resolve environmental problems including pollution, climate change, and the destruction of ecosystems.
