Social networking site LinkedIn has reportedly blocked user accounts in China without telling them why. Some academics believe this is a result of earlier posts containing prohibited content. A LinkedIn spokeswoman said that 'while the company supports freedom of expression, offering a localized version of LinkedIn in China means adherence to censorship requirements of the Chinese government on internet platforms'.
