According to a Reuters report, Belgium has introduced a new system of tracking mobile phones to limit crowding of beaches that are set to open for the summer season on 27 June 2020. The system was introduced in response to the health authorities' concern with the prospect of large crowds visiting local beaches and risking infections of the Coronavirus. The ten districts along the coast will detect mobile phones on beaches and display real-time information on a website, showing colored indicators from dark green for 'calm', to orange for 'very busy'.
