Australian Digital Health Agency announced that it will launch a new professional development program to identify digital health skills required for nurses and midwives to improve the safety, efficiency, and quality of care that they deliver. The program resonates with the World Health Organization (WHO)'s International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. Starting on 3 February 2020, nurses and midwives in Australia will be consulted on the digital health skills that are necessary. They will also be able to learn what digital skill is practical and relevant for them and how a framework for digital health capability can be applied in hospitals and health services as a professional development tool for nurses and midwives working in the digital era.
