The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issueda decision upholding once again the net neutrality order introduced by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 2015. A panel of the court has previously upheld the FCC's Open Internet order, in a case brought against the rules by representatives of the US broadband industry. The losing parties have later filed a petition seeking for a review of the court's decision, but the court decided to deny the petition. In its decision, the court affirmed that the FCC had ample authority to reclassify ISPs as common carriers, and dismissed the argument that the FCC's policy somehow infringes the free speech rights of broadband companies.
