Scotland's National Digital Skills Academy is partnering with The Young Women's Movement, Scotland's national organisation for young women's leadership and gender equality, Scotland Women in Technology (SWIT) and CodeClan to help narrow the gender gap in the technology sector. These include on-demand digital skills courses to meet the flexibility that Scottish females are looking for and the launch of the first cohorts of females on the on-demand data science course, with fully funded places for over 60 females returning to or changing jobs.
Ana Stewart, chair and co-author of the report commissioned by the Scottish Government, entitled 'Pathways: A New Approach for Women in Entrepreneurship review', said that the collaborative approaches are providing a blueprint for other organisations to have an enormous impact in creating more inclusive and empowering workplaces for women.
