New research by PwC for Green Alliance shows that the UK generates the most e-waste per person in the world, right after Norway. According to the study, the per capita figures mask the full extent of the problem the UK faces concerning e-waste. However, the amount of untreated e-waste in the UK is considerably larger at 727 kilotons, compared to 40 kilotons in Norway.
The report also evaluates existing legislation and provides recommendations by looking into ways to cut more energy and address resource efficiency to help the UK manage electronics at a more sustainable rate.
